Miryana was born in Sofia, Bulgaria. She studied in London and Cambridge before moving to Budapest to join consulting firm McKinsey & Company. In 2020, after years of consulting big corporates on strategic and operational questions, Miryana moved to London, where she helped scale tech unicorn Gousto. At the start of 2023, she left her corporate career for a long-anticipated move to Kenya and co-founded Ethera with Gabriella and Satyajit.

Gabriella was born in Dunaujvaros, Hungary. She studied in Budapest and in Paris before joining consulting firm McKinsey & Company in Budapest. In 2018, Gabriella moved to Ethiopia for a year-long transfer within the company before moving to Kenya and shortly after making the transfer permanent. In 2022, Gabriella left consulting to become the Head of Strategy & Data of African food delivery start-up Kyosk. In 2023, she co-founded Ethera alongside Miryana and Satyajit.

Satyajit was born in Mumbai, India and moved with his family to Kenya when he was 6 years old. He studied in Nairobi and Toronto, then went on to build a career in finance in Canada, becoming VP of Finance of a portfolio company of insurance giant Fairfax. Satyajit moved back to Kenya after he met Gabriella in 2021 and soon after joined leading Kenyan insurance company Occidental as CFO. In early 2023, Satyajit co-founded VB Insurance brokerage, and shortly after co-founded Ethera alongside Gabriella and Miryana.
